Privacy protocols have been developed for the management of particular privacy issues which arise in the University.
- Privacy Protocol 1: access to a student's own personal information
- Privacy Protocol 2: access to a staff member's own personal information
- Privacy Protocol 3: requests for access to personal information from third parties acting as representatives of staff members or students
- including solicitors, insurance agencies, parents and spouses
- Privacy Protocol 4: confirmation of payroll or employee status to financial institutions
- Privacy Protocol 5: use of photographic images and video recordings (including consent form)
- Privacy Protocol 6: use or disclosure of personal information for law enforcement
- including Queensland or Federal police and intelligence agencies
- Privacy Protocol 7: use of disclosure of personal information for revenue protection
- including Centrelink, Australian Tax Office and Qld Office of State Revenue
- Privacy Protocol 8: requests issued via court documents for access to personal information
- including notices of non-party disclosure and subpoenas
- Privacy Protocol 9: requests from potential employers for access to the personal information of a staff member or student
- Privacy Protocol 10: requests for access to the personal information of a deceased staff member or student
