Automatic Creating of Course Folders
A new document record type, Student Document, has been created in TRIM for documents that relate to an individual student and need to be captured in a Student Folder.  Unlike previous record types in TRIM, the Student Document includes inbuilt document naming conventions to assisting users with titling documents.

Benefits of the naming conventions include:

Can other record types be saved in student folders?

Yes.  Student Supporting Documents and Agreement Documents can also be saved into a student folder.

Student Supporting Documents are a sub-document that can be ‘attached’ to an existing Student Document.

The Agreement Document record type is used for all signed MOU’s and contracts (as defined in MOPP G/6.1.2 http://www.mopp.qut.edu.au/G/G_06_01.jsp#G_06_01.02.mdoc).

Can the document naming conventions be used with other document record types?

No.  At this stage only student documents have the mandatory document naming conventions field, however it is likely that the conventions will expand to include other record types in the future.
