The University archives provide an ordered system for the management of permanent and long-term records of QUT and its predecessor institutions. The majority of records held in the archives are corporate records documenting the University's structure and corporate decision-making, for example, records of Council and University committees, records of the University senior executive, and official publications such as annual reports and handbooks.
Due to the decentralised nature of recordkeeping at QUT the University Archive does not accept records from faculties/divisions for storage unless they are of long term historical value (MOPP F/8.1). Guidelines on the retention and disposal of records are available to assist faculties/divisions with managing their records.
See Accessing Records for further information regarding accessing archival records. Please note that archival records can be viewed at RMS by appointment only.
For further information relating to QUT's archival policies please refer to MOPP F/8.1.
