Access to TRIM
TRIM is currently being used by the following business units:
- Assurance and Risk Management Services (Chancellery)
- Governance Services (DAS)
- Human Resources (DAS)
- Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) (Chancellery)
- Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Technology and Information Learning Support) (TILS)
- Office of the Registrar (DAS)
- Office of the Vice-Chancellor (Chancellery)
- Student Business Services (DAS)
- Student Research Centre (R&C)
- Project Portfolio Office (TILS)
- TALSS Awards and Grants (TILS)
- All previous RecFind and Dataworks users.
Any new users in areas utilising TRIM will need to complete a TRIM Application form (see New User procedures below).
Any business units that do not currently use TRIM, but are interested in using TRIM to manage their records, should contact the Electronic Recordkeeping Implementation Project Manager, Lena Wong (l.wong@qut.edu.au or extension 81728).
New Users
Prior to being granted access to TRIM, all new TRIM users must complete a TRIM Application Form and TRIM Confidentiality Agreement as follows :
- Applicant completes the TRIM Application Form - a copy is emailed to their supervisor for approval.
- The supervisor forwards the approval to Records Management Services.
- Records Management Services emails a confidentiality agreement to the applicant.
- The applicant returns the confidentiality agreement to RMS.
- Records Management Services enables TRIM Access for the applicant.

Please note: Records Management Services will assess each application and reserves the right to deny or revoke TRIM access as deemed necessary.
TRIM Installation Procedures
The TRIM software application needs to be installed by either the TRIM administrator or your local Computing Support Officer.
